At Boaz Ventures, our mission is clear: to prioritize capital preservation and reliable cash flow for our investors. We focus on acquiring and managing high-quality real estate assets that historically deliver long-term appreciation in the Southeastern United States.

Drawing on his 11 years of experience in acquisitions, development, construction, portfolio management, and ownership, Joey focuses on finding and executing on investment opportunities. He has been involved with the identifying, underwriting, and closing of more than 785,000 SF of retail, 1.7 million SF of office, and 3,000 apartment units. Joey’s past experience includes successfully leading the strategy and capital deployment for the $25 million SW Neighborhood Centers I real estate fund; financial analysis, acquisitions, and dispositions for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions for Harbert Management’s U.S. Real Estate Team; and construction management as a Project Engineer for international contractor Caddell Construction.

James is an 21-year real estate veteran with experience in construction, management, development, brokerage, and ownership. He manages project acquisition, design, financing, and development. With a little over two decades of real estate experience, he brings an experienced financial understanding and plays a major role in creating and structuring project budgets, joint ventures and partnerships. James also manages Bobo Family Group, a third-generation family office that has developed, managed, owned, and sold real estate since the 1940’s. James is an alumni of Harvard’s Graduate School of Design (AMDP). Prior to this, James was a real estate broker and licensed home builder in the State of Alabama. He is an active member of his community and currently sits on the Shoals Economic Development Board, and the Florence/Lauderdale Industrial Development Board. James is married to Kristen (Beck) Bobo, and together they have five children.
